This is a very important part of our daily program.  Children will receive two nutritious snacks per day plus a balanced lunch. Meal plans will be posted monthly in each room.  Our emphasis is on nutritional foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, cereals, and dairy foods.  All meal plans are approved by the health unit to meet daily nutritional standards.  If your child has allergies or requires any special dietary needs parents will be responsible for providing a supplement snack or meal for their child.

If your child has the following symptoms, at the child care Centre, you will be called to pick up your child:

  • High fever (38°C or 100°F)
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Long lasting pain or crying or unable to participate in the program
  • Outbreaks or Rashes

These guidelines are provided by Alberta Health Services.

Medication Policy:
If your child requires medication, it must be sent to the Centre in the original container with the pharmacy label still intact. Let the staff know that your child requires medication and complete a medication consent form.

Medication is required to be locked up. Remember to ask for your child’s medication before you leave.
